Beyond the Likes & Chaos

Beyond the Likes Podcast

When I started Beyond The Likes back in 2020, I really had no idea what podcasting would entail. It basically just felt like a deeper dive into my life and I brought all the people in it along for the ride with me. I didn’t pigeon hole myself into a specific category and instead chose to talk about anything and everything that was relevant in my life at the time. There were guests. Family members, friends and a lot of me monologuing on my own. There was no structure to it and yet for those who had been following me on socials, they kind of knew what to expect. I didn’t have anyone guiding me so I just leant in the best way I knew, on a wing and a prayer and getting it done no matter what it took. I did record a lot of podcasts inside my wardrobe or sitting in my car out the front of Mums group while other people parented my children for me. One of the guests I had on was Gen Muir. A parenting lord, as I like to call her. Our energy together was infectious and we got along like a house on fire. She made a passing comment about us doing a parenting podcast together and the rest is history.

Beyond the Chaos Podcast

Aside from being free therapy for me, Gen is the most wonderful co-host to work with. We have a bazillion kids between us and are constantly juggling other jobs but have a deep respect for one another. We have an absolute ball recording our biweekly podcast. It’s only getting bigger and bigger so watch this space!

A bit about my podcast with Gen!

Join parent educator and obstetric social worker Gen Muir, alongside content creator and mum of three Amy Gerard, as they dive headfirst into the beautifully chaotic world of parenting on Beyond The Chaos. With seven kids between them and zero sugar-coating, Gen and Amy bring honest conversations, practical advice, and a whole lot of laughs to the wild ride that is raising humans.
Each week, they unpack real questions from real parents, covering everything from tantrums and toilet training to mum guilt and mental load. With their unique mix of professional insight and lived experience, they’ll help you feel a little less overwhelmed and a lot more seen.

Whether you’re rocking a newborn or navigating the tween trenches, this podcast is your weekly reminder that you’re not alone and that it’s totally normal to feel like you’re absolutely winging it. Because let’s be honest: parenting is the hardest, weirdest, most ridiculous gig out there and we’re all just trying to survive Beyond The Chaos
